In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids, estimations, and quotations based on customer specifications, requirements, or budget to achieve market competitiveness and high margins for the company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers in your area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting and collating the information required to prepare proposals, including both technical and cost elements. The work model for the role is: Hybrid/Remote. This role is contributing to the MV Switchgear in NAM. Main stakeholders are internal and externals customers. You will be mainly accountable for: Formulating competitive bids, estimates, and quotations by considering the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial aspects for each situation. Creating well-documented tenders in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs. Managing the preparation of technical, financial, and, if required, project management aspects of the bid, estimate, and quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions. Ensuring that inputs for editing activities related to bid, estimate, and quotation preparation are provided in a timely manner and in accordance with the established quality procedures. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), Marketing, Sales is preferred but not required. Someone with significant relevant experience in lieu of degree would be accepted for this position.
  • 5+ years of experience in Proposals, Field Application, Engineering (preferably working with Switchgears, in the Electrical/Electrification/Power Generation industries, or with other similar products)
  • Previous experience working for or with Proposals Teams serving the different Markets/Countries.
  • Highly adept in Product Configurators, Sales Force.
  • Successful candidates for this role will possess outside the box thinking, problem solving focus, and Continuous Improvement Mindset.
  • At ease communicating in English, Spanish will be a plus.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
