The Proposal Coordinator I Intern supports proposal development and writing by drafting, editing, organizing, and proofreading proposal content using established templates and prior materials. The intern reviews technical and project information and helps communicate it clearly and concisely for clients, assembles proposal sections, and performs quality checks before internal review or submission. The role works with proposal personnel, engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to gather inputs, identify missing or conflicting information, and participate in proposal planning and review discussions. The intern gains exposure to how technical scope, assumptions, schedules, pricing, and client requirements are brought together in a proposal. The intern also helps maintain templates, checklists, standard language, reusable content libraries, and proposal records. With appropriate supervision and review, the role supports the use of Microsoft 365 and AI-assisted tools for research, drafting, document review, and workflow efficiency. The internship includes completing a defined process-improvement assignment that produces a useful tool, template, reference, or documented recommendation. The position provides exposure to the developing Project Support model and to career paths in engineering, project management, business development, and project support. The intern may assist with selected Project Support assignments when they provide useful experience and fit the internship schedule. Expected outcomes include contributing to active proposal work, developing clear written communication and organizational skills, learning the proposal process from initial request through final submission, and presenting a process-improvement deliverable or recommendation at the internship's conclusion.
