This is a full-time, on-site Title Insurance Underwriter role based in Winston-Salem, NC. The Title Insurance Underwriter will review title commitments, and related documents to determine insurability of residential real estate transactions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to review complex property records, identify title issues, and make sound risk-based decisions
  • Knowledge of insurance concepts and practices, ideally with direct experience in title insurance or related property and casualty insurance fields
  • Underwriting experience, preferably in title insurance, with familiarity in applying underwriting guidelines to residential and commercial transactions
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, to work effectively with internal teams, customers, attorneys, lenders, and other stakeholders
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with common office software and title/escrow systems; ability to learn company-specific platforms and tools
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and inclusive, collaborative teamwork

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in title, escrow, closing, or real estate law is strongly preferred
