About The Position

RHM Real Estate Group is hiring a Property Manager for its multifamily apartment property in Kent, Ohio. The Property Manager is accountable for day-to-day property operations and helps ensure the affordable housing property is well-run, tenant satisfaction improves, and property asset value is maintained. The role covers financial operations, leasing, maintenance coordination, resident and vendor relations, and administrative oversight. It is full-time, Monday through Friday, and based at the on-site management office. The employer requires U.S. work authorization and expects the candidate to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of property management experience in the affordable housing sector, ideally with project-based Section 8 properties.
Achieve Fair Housing certification before or at the start of the position.
Knowledge of HUD compliance, income verification, and LIHTC protocols.
Competence with PC skills, including Word, Outlook, and Excel; Yardi is preferred.
U.S. work authorization.
Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree.
CAM or ARM credential.
Bachelor's degree is a plus.
Experience with Yardi.

Responsibilities

Maintain and submit transaction records, prepare budgets, project income, collect fees and charges, and manage accounts payable invoice submissions.
Maintain high occupancy, execute marketing strategies, and ensure units are market-ready and well-presented.
Ensure service requests are entered, recorded, and communicated.
Lead phone and in-person resident interactions, handle tenant concerns and service requests, and distribute newsletters and notices.
Schedule and manage vendor relationships and billing as needed.
Maintain accurate resident files, coordinate leasing documents, oversee payroll and hours tracking, and manage compliance documentation and reports.
