About The Position

AAMCI-Management, Inc. is seeking a part-time Property Maintenance Technician in Orange City to help preserve the long-term value and desirability of its community. The role helps ensure residents have safe, comfortable apartments in good repair and receive responsive service. The position is 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at $22 per hour, with an on-call premium. The technician addresses residents’ maintenance concerns and performs appropriate handyman repairs. When residents move out, the technician prepares apartments to be move-in ready within five days of vacancy. The role also includes maintaining accurate records for preventative maintenance, work orders, inspections, and inventories; assisting the manager with apartment inspections; participating in an emergency on-call rotation; and contributing to community cleanliness and curb appeal. The on-call rotation covers evenings, weekends, and holidays. AAMCI-Management, Inc. is a residential property management company established in 1972. It manages more than 4,000 multifamily housing units in the Midwest and Southeast, with a focus on low- and moderate-income developments. The company also invests in multifamily housing and participates in development using the low-income housing tax credit program.

Requirements

At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
Janitorial or custodial experience.
Painting experience.
Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general handyman work.
Unit-turn experience.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Mechanically inclined, reliable, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
Ability to work as part of a property management team and be attentive to safety.

Responsibilities

Address maintenance concerns in current residents’ apartments and make appropriate handyman repairs.
