About The Position

The Property & Casualty Insurance Agent – Commercial Lines is responsible for selling and servicing commercial insurance products while building long-term client relationships. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely and, in the office, with a focus on consultative selling, prospecting, retention, and collaboration with internal teams. The role combines client-facing impact with strategic business development across the Tampa Bay market.

Requirements

  • Active Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty license required.
  • Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and pass a background check.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and risk assessment practices.
  • Proven consultative sales skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Familiarity with agency management systems and CRM tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven.
  • Ability to multitask and operate effectively in a hybrid team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of commercial lines experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advise, quote, and sell commercial property & casualty insurance policies.
  • Analyze business operations and risk exposure to develop tailored insurance solutions.
  • Meet monthly sales quotas by following established agency processes.
  • Prospect for new business through community involvement and outreach to Achieva Credit Union members.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with policyholders, prospects, and referral sources.
  • Manage policy expirations, renewals, and retention efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to support renewals and resolve service-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and carrier requirements.
  • Stay current on industry trends, product knowledge, and regulatory changes.
  • Utilize agency management and CRM tools (e.g., AgencyZoom, EZLYNX) to track activities and client interactions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sales efforts, policy information, and renewal workflows.
  • Participate in incentive and recognition programs tied to performance metrics.
