About The Position

A Field Property Adjuster at Allstate is dedicated to providing exceptional service to policyholders. This role involves traveling to customer homes for on-site inspections, investigating coverage, preparing estimates, and settling claims promptly and efficiently. The adjuster will also handle virtual claims countrywide using platforms like Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration, with a focus on water loss claims. The role requires a blend of customer service, investigation, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and meticulous record-keeping.

Requirements

  • Willing and able to carry a 50-pound ladder and access up to a 6/12 pitch on either a one to two-story roof.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as part of the job requirements.
  • Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home.
  • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload required for remote work.
  • Must terminate all existing insurance license appointments prior to onboarding and not hold any outside appointments during employment.
  • Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years previous experience as an outside adjuster.
  • Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant software for estimating.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer homes to conduct on-site inspections.

  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, and video chat to guide them through the claims process.
  • Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants.
  • Utilize multiple tools, including estimate tools and settlement platforms, to manage claims.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of work in the claims system.
  • Execute policies along policy agreements to protect the company financially.
