About The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Property Accountant with excellent organizational skills to coordinate and perform general ledger activities for month-end close. Applicants must be able to meet regularly scheduled deadlines. This is a hybrid role based in our Dallas office.

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting
  • 5 or more years of accounting experience
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and internal controls
  • Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with property accounting a plus
  • Experience with computer-based accounting systems, PeopleSoft Oracle a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly property close process
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Maintain amortization and depreciation schedules
  • Set up and maintain vendor accounts in AP system
  • General ledger account analysis
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Assist in special projects
  • Effectively communicate with property personnel and management
