About The Position

Under general supervision, responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and analysis for our portfolio of multiple properties. This role involves preparing month-end closing entries, funding requests, detailed general ledger maintenance, monthly expense accruals, balance sheet review and analysis, and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with variance analysis. The position also provides annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting support and involves direct interface with internal/external management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous accounting experience.
  • Must be familiar with PC applications such as MS-Excel ad MS-Word.
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems.

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements with variance analysis
  • Annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting support
  • Direct interface with internal/external management
  • Prepare and review income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting reports. Make corrections as necessary.
  • Audit financial reports and records, making studies or recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, revenue and expenditures. Make corrections as necessary.
  • Conduct the primary accounting review of various financial statements and initiate any corrections.
  • Oversee the analysis and reconciliation of the general ledger reports.
  • Close ledgers and generate monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Obtain revenue and assets acquisition information then review, consolidate and summarize it for reporting purposes.
  • Work with budget preparation up to and including direct support.
  • Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions.
  • Perform general administrative functions when needed, including answering phones, Help Desk, and inputting work orders.
