About The Position

Olymbec is currently looking for a Property Accountant to join our accounting team. By joining us, you will become a key member by playing a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for the property portfolio, supporting management in making informed decisions. They will maintain the integrity and reconciliation of intercompany accounts, streamline month-end and year-end closing processes, and support budgeting and forecasting through detailed financial analysis.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in a role
• Organized and disciplined
• Strong team working abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Intermediate level, oral and written (French and English)
• The employee in this position will interact more than 40% of the time with international customers, suppliers and colleagues (USA) who understand and communicate only in English.

Nice To Haves

• CPA Certification (not CFA) desirable
• Understanding of Yardi Accounting System is an asset
• Experience in real estate an asset

Responsibilities

• Posting month-end journal entries for our group of companies
• Booking inter-company charges and ensuring the intercompany accounts balance and are refunded/paid
• Prepare bank reconciliations for select accounts
• Manage the financial statements for select properties, as required
• Assisting in month-end, quarter-end and year-end procedures for closing the books and preparing financial statements as needed
• Assisting Controller and CFO as needed with side projects
