About The Position

This role involves operating resistance-welding equipment to fabricate parts according to print specifications. The individual will be responsible for setting up welding machines, running automated equipment independently, and troubleshooting sequencing errors. Routine maintenance on machinery, performing quality checks including destructive testing, and maintaining good housekeeping and safety standards are also key aspects of this position. The role requires the ability to interpret measurement devices, inspect units for defects, and work from written or verbal orders, while upholding company values.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED.
Must be able to add, subtract, divide and multiply whole numbers.
Continuous lifting of 25-60 lbs.
Occasional lifting of 60+ lbs.
Must be able to stand, walk and/or lift repetitively during shift.
Must be able to frequently lift in unsupported positions as well as bend, twist/turn, reach, push/pull.
Vision acceptable to determine proper welds.

Lift truck skills (3rd shift only).

Responsibilities

Operate resistance-welding equipment to fabricate parts according to print specifications.
Set up welding machine.
Run an automated piece of equipment independently.
Change out dies in an automated piece of equipment.
Troubleshoot sequencing errors on an automated piece of equipment.
Perform routine maintenance on machine.
Fill out daily production report detailing what was produced for that day.
Identify and label parts produced.
Interpret measurement devices such as a tape measure.
Perform quality checks which includes but not limited to material destructive testing.
Perform duties in the work center as directed by supervision.
Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
Observe all departmental safety requirements.
Maintain quality standards according to specifications.
Inspect units or parts for defects and workmanship.
Work from written or verbal orders.
Practice and support Rheem values with internal as well as external customers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
