About The Position

Eberhard Manufacturing is seeking a Spot and Projection Welder for its facility in Strongsville, Ohio. This is a full-time, first-shift position responsible for welding Eberhard products to print specifications in a way that meets or exceeds customer expectations. The role includes setting up welding equipment, maintaining fixtures and machines, producing and packaging welded parts, and making schedule adjustments to support weld quality and new assignments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of previous job experience in spot and projection welding.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Shop math skills and the ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, inside and outside micrometers, and height gauges.
• Ability to complete QICLs to check product quality at different intervals.

Responsibilities

• Set up projection welding machines, spot welders, and stud welding machines, including air and heat settings, to ensure welded parts are held properly.
• Perform machining work, mainly grinding, to repair fixtures or regrind Elkonite.
• Make schedule changes to improve welds.
• Clean machines and parts when a job is completed.
• Return fixtures to their proper locations.
• Inform the supervisor when fixtures need repairs.
• Assemble 2–4 pieces, weld them, and package them for shipping.
• Use schedule books to set up jobs for proper welds.
• Make changes and schedules for new assignments.
