About The Position

The Magnum Ice Cream Company is seeking a Project Team Lead to lead and execute capital projects within its dairy manufacturing operations. This role is critical for the end-to-end design and delivery of capex projects at the St Albans and Waterbury sites, aligning with the overall site and global agenda. The team leader will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet safety, quality, and sustainability standards. The company is focused on growth, empowerment, innovation, and providing consumers with amazing products and unforgettable moments. As a standalone entity planned to separate from Unilever before the end of 2025, The Magnum Ice Cream Company is investing to unlock its full growth potential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management preferred, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing industrial or capital projects in food or dairy manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of dairy processing systems, utilities, and plant infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (PMP certification is a plus).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end execution of industrial projects, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, quality, and procurement teams to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and cost targets.
  • Drive innovation and efficiency in project delivery, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Lead improvement projects in a fast-moving environment with many stakeholders, requiring independent decision-making, constructive collaboration, managing expectations, and navigating tradeoffs.
  • Responsible for cost estimating, analyzing options, building business cases, critiquing designs, managing construction, installation, commissioning, and handover with minimal supervision.
  • As a member of the factory leadership team, lead other activities in safety, quality, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Participate in cross-plant improvement teams.
  • Develop strong partnerships with plant manufacturing, continuous improvement, corporate engineering, and union workforce.
  • Support root cause analysis on process and utilities issues.
  • Bring new Ways of Working to the Engineering community to achieve the lowest installed cost.
  • Execute projects by delivering the best Value without compromising any Values.
  • Act as a leader in the transformation while living the core values (TMICC Sustainable Living Plan).
