Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience leading blast and coating projects.
  • Experience in estimating, budgeting, and cost control for blast and paint projects.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical engineering design and assembly drawings.
  • Solid understanding and appreciation for site safety policies and procedures.
  • Strong leadership abilities to manage customer perspectives on-site (from blasters to foremen to owners) and effectively resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to ensure customer uptime.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent task and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively, including being on customer sites on weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
  • Preferred experience in a broad range of industries, including Oil and Gas, Large Shipyards, Water Storage, and Steel Fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Take 100% responsibility for the successful outcome of assigned BlastOne projects.
  • Oversee the execution, performance, and outcomes of equipment setup for site trials.
  • Take personal ownership of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for customer field service needs.
  • Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on-site.
  • Maintain an on-site daily Field Service Project Log for data collection and continuous improvement.
  • Support continuous development and cost reduction efforts by providing feedback and lessons learned.
  • Participate in project planning with Regional and Sales Project Management teams for smooth project startup and execution.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers during project planning and on-site phases.
  • Manage changing customer and project scope requirements.
  • Train clients on the efficient, safe, and productive use of equipment for industrial coatings projects.
