Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Service Writer with strong customer communication skills who is a self-starter and quick learner to support our dealership’s service team. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web-based software applications
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to solve problems independently

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical knowledge of automotive or diesel repair preferred
  • Previous experience in a dealership, service department, retail, or customer service role a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Service Department filing systems and records
  • Open work orders as directed by the Service Manager or Shop Foreman and maintain control until closed and invoiced
  • Update and maintain accurate customer profiles using information from customer work orders
  • Serve as a team player—willing to assist co-workers and support tasks beyond listed job duties as experience and skills grow
  • Field internal and external customer inquiries for the Service Department while developing deeper knowledge of service operations
