About The Position
The Stockroom Lens Pick Clerk will manage lens inventory, pull appropriate lenses from stockroom bins, and ensure accurate fulfillment of prescription requirements while maintaining proper inventory levels and organization.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management software
- Ability to read and interpret prescription specifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in inventory management or warehouse operations
- Familiarity with optical or medical device inventory
- Experience with barcode scanning systems
- Basic understanding of optical prescriptions and lens parameters
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain lens inventory bins in designated stockroom areas
- Pull correct lenses from inventory bins based on prescription specifications
- Verify lens parameters against prescription requirements before selection
- Scan lenses and update inventory management system to maintain accurate stock levels
- Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies
- Restock inventory bins with incoming lens shipments
- Process returns back into inventory when applicable
- Assist with cycle counting and physical inventory audits
- Prioritize work based on start dates and follow all Standard Operating Procedures
- Package and label selected lenses for transfer to production areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of stockroom work areas
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely lens availability
- Ensure accuracy in all lens selection and inventory transactions
