About The Position

Accenture Construct is seeking a Project Safety Advisor to join their team. This role involves ensuring safety compliance on major construction projects such as data centers, power grids, rail networks, and factories. The advisor will work with a team of project managers, engineers, technologists, and strategists to deliver these projects from strategy through construction and handover. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Demonstrated expertise in EPA standards (OSHA plus), OSHA 500 (Authorized Outreach Trainer) or OSHA 510 and Safety or a related field

Responsibilities

Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, local, and company standards.
Review and update Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and site-specific safety plans.
Ensure subcontractors and vendors meet safety contractual obligations before work commences.
Perform pre-task safety assessments to identify hazards such as fall risks, electrical hazards, and heavy equipment operations.
Lead risk assessments for high-risk activities (scaffolding, trenching, crane operations, confined spaces) and enforce control measures.
Collaborate with engineers and superintendents to implement engineering controls (guardrails, PPE, ventilation systems).
Investigate all incidents, near-misses, and violations by documenting root causes, witness statements, and corrective actions.
Maintain incident logs, perform trend analysis, and report findings to project leadership, insurance providers, and regulatory bodies.
Conduct new hire safety orientations and toolbox talks on topics such as fall protection, fire prevention, and equipment safety.
Develop and deliver specialized safety training programs including forklift certification, lockout/tagout, and hazardous materials handling.
Foster a proactive safety culture by engaging workers, recognizing safe behaviors, and addressing unsafe acts promptly.
