About The Position

Loenbro is seeking an experienced, self-motivated candidate to join its Industrial Quality team as a Project Quality Manager (Mechanical). The role is based onsite in Ellendale, North Dakota, and works closely with engineering, construction, fabrication, and other departments to support aligned project goals. Familiarity with piping is essential, along with a team-oriented mindset and commitment to continuous improvement. The position supports mechanical construction quality activities, including inspections, welding quality, project documentation and turnover, pressure testing plans, and quality assurance planning. The employee must follow Loenbro's core values, safety policies, applicable safety regulations, PPE requirements, and Environmental Health and Safety policies. Work may take place in a temperature-controlled office, outdoor industrial sites, and fabrication shops. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

Requirements

Mechanical construction experience with piping systems, structural steel, fabrication, and equipment installation.
Current AWS CWI or ASNT VT II certification.
Strong knowledge of NDT methods, with ASNT-SNT-TC-1A training/hours.
Experience generating turnover packages.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings.
Knowledge of industry codes and standards, including ASME, AWS, ACI, AISC, and NACE.
At least 5 years of Quality Control Inspector experience.
Experience working under a Quality Management Program.
Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Prepare weld map isometric drawings.
Perform weld and piping inspections.
Support project turnover and generate turnover packages.
Enter welding and inspection information into a tracking tool.
Assist with pressure testing plans.
Review and file NDE/NDT reports.
Coordinate with NDE personnel to plan and execute work.
Assemble and review project documentation packages.
Perform and document inspections against drawings, specifications, and procedures to determine compliance.
Test welders and perform weld inspections.
Review welding requirements and ensure welding procedures comply.
Create and implement Project Quality Assurance Plans.
Provide support and training to other inspectors.
Write inspection and test plans (I&TPs).
Plan and execute Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Reports.
Follow Loenbro's core values and safety policies.
Perform other duties as needed to support business operations.
