About The Position

The Project Manager for Primoris Energy Services - Civil Group is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and closing of civil construction projects within the energy sector. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards, acting as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in project management within the civil construction industry, with a significant portion dedicated to the energy sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex civil projects exceeding $5 million in value.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and relevant industry standards for energy infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Oversee all phases of civil construction projects, from pre-construction activities through closeout, specifically within the energy services domain (e.g., pipeline infrastructure, power generation facilities, substations).
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project budgets, approve expenditures, and ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality control standards.
  • Prepare and present regular project reports to stakeholders, including financial performance, schedule adherence, and critical milestones.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
