About The Position

Better Together is seeking an additional Project Manager to support their Better Jobs program, which is delivered through local churches to help communities find hope and dignity through employment. This role involves training, equipping, and supporting churches in establishing, maintaining, and growing their employment ministries. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, adaptable to new technology and evolving systems, with experience in project management and an agile environment. Demonstrated leadership, communication, organization, and networking skills are essential. The role requires a self-starter who thrives on challenges, is comfortable working remotely, can handle ambiguity, and can analyze programs to find creative solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, project management, business management, or a related field, plus a minimum of three years of relevant project management experience; or A minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
  • Technological requirements: Salesforce, Asana, Canva, and Basecamp

Responsibilities

  • Lead churches and volunteers through Better Jobs ministry trainings
  • Attend job fairs and support Better Jobs Ministry launches
  • Nurture and cultivate church cohorts and partners
  • Lead churches and support them as they start their Better Jobs Ministry
  • Manage detailed project schedule and work plan, which includes meeting with churches on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to help churches successfully implement and sustain their jobs ministry
  • Manage multiple job fairs simultaneously, which are at different stages of the process
  • Provide problem-solving support to partner churches to determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Export and share data to church and key partners
  • Comfortably use Canva and established templates to create professional flyers and promotional materials in support of partner job fairs
  • Step in as needed to ensure a successful job fair
  • Debrief churches, businesses and volunteers to seek feedback to help further innovate our model
  • Work with Partnership Manager for Florida church partners to assist and coordinate partners
  • Run reports and share data
  • Measure project performance to identify areas of improvement
  • Use best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project’s execution
  • Ensure that each job fair maintains success benchmarks
  • Nurture Better Jobs employer partners who engage with Better Jobs
  • Match job coaches to job seekers during job fairs
  • Provide support to job coach volunteers as needed
  • Update employer information for job coaches at job fairs
  • Assist other Better Together team members with job coaches and job placement recommendations for families as available
  • Track job coaching and job seeker interactions and job placement
