About The Position

We are looking for an Project Manager (Janitorial/Housekeeper) to support the St. Louis VA Medical Center in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of (5) years' experience in managing large complex teams in the Environmental-Hospital Services industry, specifically with Sanitation teams. A minimum of the last (2) years shall be in a hospital or other accredited healthcare facility. Detailed knowledge of cleaning procedures and customer service skills is a must. In addition, managing and overseeing the cleaning schedule and requirements.

Requirements

Minimum of (5) years' experience in managing large complex teams in the Environmental-Hospital Services industry, specifically with Sanitation teams.
Minimum of the last (2) years shall be in a hospital or other accredited healthcare facility.
Detailed knowledge of cleaning procedures and customer service skills is a must.
Applicants must be US citizen.
Must be able to pass a background check performed by the Federal Government.

Nice To Haves

Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Profession (CHESP) issued by Association for the Healthcare Environment (AHE) or Certified Registered Executive Housekeeper (C/REH) issued by the International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA) (must currently possess or willing to obtain within 12 months)

Responsibilities

Supervise the work activities of janitorial personnel in a professional environment.
Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding janitorial services and take corrective action.
May purchase janitorial supplies, manage stock level of inventory, train new employees, and recommend dismissals.
Managing and overseeing the cleaning schedule and requirements.
