The TI Project Manager interacts with the customer or General Contractor, Designers, Field Supervisors, Purchasing, Accounting, Estimating, Fire departments, and AHJ, as well as upper management. The role requires proficiency in pre-planning for projects, communication, and responsiveness, aiming to bring projects in on time and on or below budget. Key responsibilities include creating, negotiating, and executing a schedule of values, reading and negotiating the scope of work for service and construction contracts, and building positive customer relationships. The position also involves providing information to clarify tasks for workers and others, estimating when standard methods are unavailable, and attending departmental meetings. Essential skills include collaboration, communication, ethical conduct, time management, and thoroughness. The role supports other departments by providing good information and requires literacy to read and comprehend blueprints, contracts, and submittals. The ability to create change orders and purchase orders is also necessary, along with reliable and predictable attendance.
