About The Position

Ramsey County is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee building projects from pre-construction to final delivery. This role will manage projects including tenant improvements, capital asset replacements, and new construction, from initial programming through the solicitation process and move-in or commissioning. The position will also assist in the development of workplace and construction standards. The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of project management, including establishing and administering project scope, budgets, timelines, and coordinating project activities, and performing related duties as assigned. This position is identified as 'flex work eligible', allowing employees to opt for full-time in-office work or a flex schedule with at least two days per week in the office and other days performed remotely. Regardless of the chosen schedule, the position carries expectations for on-site responsibilities and requires schedule flexibility beyond the county's standard flexible workplace policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or in a field related to area assigned.
  • Five years of experience in project management in the area assigned.
  • Equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Certification by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) for authorized access to areas where the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) is accessed or CJIS information is stored is required after hire and the ability to maintain this certification every year.
  • Fingerprinting required by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) and the FBI.
