About The Position

HDR is seeking a Project Manager to join its Field Services team supporting Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise as its General Engineering Management Consultant (GEMC). The program supports a multi-billion-dollar statewide transportation program across a large, active toll highway system. The multidisciplinary team supports major capital improvements and works to strengthen program delivery, operational performance, organizational effectiveness, and long-term workforce readiness.

The Project Manager will lead multiple construction projects and help ensure that infrastructure is delivered to high standards. The role involves coordinating staff and project work, reviewing policies and programs, performing constructability and biddability reviews, mentoring junior team members, and providing risk management and issue-resolution leadership. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 7 years of related experience.
• At least 2 years of project management experience.
• Ability to interact with various design teams.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Attitude and commitment to being an active participant in HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desired.
• 10 years of experience.
• Previous experience on FDOT or Florida Turnpike projects is a strong plus.
• Roadway or tollway experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the point of contact and project lead for multiple construction projects.
• Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members.
• Develop and/or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures.
• Review programs for conformance with Department standards.
• Perform constructability and biddability reviews.
• Mentor more junior roles.
• Provide risk management and issue-resolution leadership.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
