About The Position

The TI Project Manager interacts with the customer or General Contractor, Designers, Field Supervisors, Purchasing, Accounting, Estimating, Fire departments, and AHJ, as well as upper management. The role requires proficiency in pre-planning for projects, effective communication, and responsiveness. The Project Manager learns to bring projects in on time and on or below budget. They are responsible for creating, negotiating, and executing a schedule of values, and reading and negotiating the scope of work for service and construction contracts. This role involves providing information and clarification to others, building and maintaining positive customer relationships, and following through on responsibilities. The Project Manager must also be able to make estimates when standard procedures are unavailable and attend departmental meetings. Excellent collaboration, communication, ethical conduct, and time management skills are essential, with a strong emphasis on being thorough. The role also involves assisting other departments by providing good information. Literacy to read and comprehend blueprints, contracts, and submittals is required, as is the ability to create change orders and purchase orders. Reliable and predictable attendance is mandatory.

Requirements

  • One to five years of Project Management experience.
  • Work experience as an Assistant Project Manager, or similar role.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Creative mind with superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex information into a user-friendly format.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A proven Self-Starter.
  • Understands and practices Basic Business Leadership Principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using accounting & project management software.
  • Sitting at a desk for the majority of the day.
  • Handling: Seizes, helps, or works with hands.
  • Lifting: Raises or lowers miscellaneous paperwork.
  • Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
  • Vision: Read computers and paperwork.
  • Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
  • Standing: Remains in a standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
  • Talking: Communicating by phone and in person.
  • Walking and moving about on foot.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Alternative or combined skills in understanding, counseling, and/or influencing people are important in achieving job objectives, causing action, understanding others, or changing behavior, and skills of persuasiveness or assertiveness, as well as sensitivity to the point of view of others.

Responsibilities
