About The Position

Fuscoe Engineering is seeking a Project Manager to support its Downtown San Diego office. The role manages land development projects from entitlements through construction support, including design planning and execution, client coordination, agency plan processing, business development, and project administration. The position joins a collaborative, employee-owned civil engineering firm with services in Survey & Mapping, Stormwater Management & Water Quality, and Geospatial Technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline from a four-year college or university.
• At least 10 years of civil engineering design experience.
• At least 3 years of experience serving as the central design figure, mentoring employees, and leading project workflow.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and team-building skills.
• Ability to manage a land development project from entitlements through construction support.
• PE certification required.

Responsibilities

• Identify design criteria and plan and execute effective designs.
• Serve as a direct point of contact for clients and lead plan processing with public agencies.
• Participate in marketing, business development, lead finding, and pursuing new work.
• Complete administrative and finance responsibilities, including invoicing, monitoring, proposals, change orders, timecard approvals, and attending required meetings.
• Oversee project workflow and serve as a central design figure and mentor to employees.
• Manage land development projects from entitlements through construction support.
