About The Position

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to manage projects on its residential land development team in The Woodlands, Texas. The role leads project design, client communication, permitting, and overall project management for residential development projects. The Project Manager collaborates with in-house civil engineers, landscape architects, land planners, transportation professionals, and surveyors to deliver solutions for public, private, and mixed-use developments.

The Project Manager guides projects from initial concept through final design and construction support, balancing client expectations, technical quality, budget, and schedule. The role also includes leading and mentoring technical professionals, developing client relationships, supporting business development, and contributing to company design and production standards. Overtime may occasionally be necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas.
• At least 6 years of land development design experience.
• Proven experience and willingness to identify new opportunities with existing clients.
• Confidence and ability to develop new client partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers and technical support staff to serve clients.
• Participate in developing and executing proposals and client agreements.
• Manage teams and clients through land development design projects from conception to completion, including estimating technical task costs.
• Develop professional relationships with clients, public agency officials, and community leaders.
• Coordinate project tasks, budgets, and schedules to respect client timelines.
• Support the professional development of project team members in line with their individual goals and career paths.
• Participate in developing company design and production standards.
• Remain open to new approaches and seek guidance and suggestions from other leaders on project management.
• Participate in professional associations and civic organizations to contribute to the community.
