About The Position

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to serve as a Project Manager on its residential land development team in The Woodlands, Texas. The role leads project design, client communication, permitting, and overall management for a range of residential development projects. The Project Manager collaborates with in-house civil engineers, landscape architects, land planners, transportation professionals, and surveyors to deliver solutions for public, private, and mixed-use developments. The position guides projects from initial concept through final design and construction support while balancing client expectations, technical quality, budget, and schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas.
• At least 6 years of land development design experience.
• Proven experience identifying new opportunities with existing clients and the confidence and ability to develop new client partnerships.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers and technical support professionals to serve clients.
• Participate in developing and executing proposals and client agreements.
• Manage teams and clients through land development design projects from conception to completion, including estimating the costs of technical tasks.
• Develop professional relationships with clients, public agency officials, and community leaders.
• Coordinate project tasks, budgets, and schedules to meet client timelines.
• Support each project team member's professional development in line with their individual goals and career path.
• Participate in developing company design and production standards.
• Remain open to new approaches and seek guidance and suggestions from other leaders regarding project management.
• Participate in professional associations and civic organizations to contribute to the community.
