About The Position

DISHER is seeking a Project Manager to support its customer team in the medical device industry. This contract position is expected to last 18 months, with potential for extension. The Project Manager will work onsite in Portage, Michigan, supporting powder coating lines and assisting the powder coating team with engineering needs. The role includes performing task-based risk assessments, drafting user requirement specification documents, and seeing the project through release to operations. The schedule is 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of work experience and senior-level engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• General understanding of the powder coating process and ability to learn customer processes.
• Understanding of overhead conveyor systems and how they work mechanically.
• Ability to assist the team where necessary and work on multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, OnePPM, EHS Insight, Master Control, and ValGenesis.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of ergonomics and how to apply it when purchasing equipment.
• Previous medical device industry experience.
• Allen Bradley and/or robotic programming experience.
