About The Position

DISHER is seeking a Project Manager to support a customer team in the medical device industry. This onsite contract role in Portage, Michigan is expected to last 18 months, with potential for extension. The Project Manager will perform task-based risk assessments for powder coating lines, draft user requirement specification documents, assist the powder coating team with engineering needs, and see the project through release to operations. The role is 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of work experience and senior-level engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• General understanding of the powder coating process and ability to learn customer processes.
• Understanding of overhead conveyor systems and their mechanical operation.
• Ability to assist the team where necessary and work on multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, OnePPM, EHS Insight, MasterControl, and ValGenesis.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of ergonomics and how to apply it when purchasing equipment.
• Previous medical device industry experience.
• Allen-Bradley and/or robotic programming experience.
