About The Position

Sigma Defense is seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Grand Forks Air Force Base, ND. This role requires a strong leader with experience in managing complex projects, budgets, and stakeholder communication, particularly within a military and cybersecurity context. The Project Manager will be instrumental in the build-up and modernization of new Disaster Resiliency Program (DRP) missions, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to translate highly technical or complex project details for executive buy-in.
  • Ability to adhere to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ensuring cybersecurity requirements are implemented.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active TS/SCI security clearance or higher.
  • Clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clear communication and field alignment across the board, reducing rework and margin erosion.
  • Act as the primary liaison between military stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Oversee complex budgets and track project statuses to ensure compliance with strict fiscal constraints.
  • Ensure all contract deliverables meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Manage a broad range of projects related to the build up of new Disaster Resiliency Program (DRP) mission.
  • Serve as the primary Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) interface to the government and user community responsible for coordinating project requirements and fielding/deployment schedules.
  • Ensure the government customer or designated technical representative is kept abreast of any requirement changes or issues that could affect mission operations.
  • Assist with the DRP mission upgrades through design and implementation, enabling required modernization in accordance with Air Force Directives.
  • Lead environmental remediation and building modernization to meet DRP mission requirements.
  • Facilitate the myriad of problems associated with developing complex systems and with the coordination and development of design projects.
  • Provide technical input at various project review and pre-submittal meetings.
  • Establish and maintain liaison as required with teams, committees, and commissions.
  • Assist in developing local plans, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Track programs against schedules, budgets, and phase review objectives while reporting status as needed.
  • Develop local plans, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, schedules, and cost estimates for current and future projects related to DRP mission requirements.
  • Assist project management team manage mission upgrades, implementation, and enabling required modernization in accordance with Air Force Directives.
  • Oversee DRP projects, meetings, and briefings.
  • Inform Group leadership of modernization efforts, seek concurrence on modification requests/deficiency reports.
  • Coordinate with Civil Engineering to provide facility upgrades and design solutions to ensure safety and security of future mission sets.
