About The Position

Barton Malow is seeking a Project Manager in Dayton, Ohio, to support project delivery across all phases while helping ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget expectations are met. The role supports project execution from preconstruction through closeout, including procurement, planning, field operations, and cost management, under the guidance of a senior Project Manager. The Project Manager works closely with superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and design teams. It is an opportunity for a developing project manager to grow their career while working on complex projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in GC/CM construction management or equivalent project engineering experience.
• Developing knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, and cost management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Procore is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement, including developing bidders lists, distributing bidding documents, conducting pre-bid meetings, and evaluating bids.
• Assist with developing work scopes and front-end documents based on project needs and owner contract requirements.
• Support project scheduling, site logistics planning, and constructability reviews with the superintendent and senior Project Manager.
• Help establish and oversee the jobsite safety plan and support a strong safety culture on site.
• Manage the RFI and submittal processes, ensuring they are processed accurately and on time.
• Support cost management, including budget setup in Prolog, cost tracking, change management, and monitoring project costs.
• Facilitate project team meetings, maintain documentation, and support project start-up and closeout processes.
• Manage communication with subcontractors, trade partners, and the Architect/Engineer under the direction of the Project Manager.
