About The Position

Newcomer Funeral Service Group is seeking an experienced Funeral Director and Embalmer to lead its high-volume North Dayton Chapel. The Location Manager oversees day-to-day funeral home operations, develops and supports the team, and remains actively involved in serving families. The role calls for an ownership mindset across staffing, service quality, financial performance, facilities, and the overall success of the location.

North Dayton serves families with a wide range of needs and traditions. The manager will establish priorities, communicate clearly, exercise sound judgment, and remain composed and accessible while keeping operations moving. This position offers the opportunity to build consistency, develop others, shape the location’s culture and performance, and serve the North Dayton community.

Requirements

• A minimum of five years of similar or related experience.
• Ohio licensure requires completion of an accredited mortuary science program, successful passage of both sections of the National Board Exam, and compliance with state licensing regulations.
• Ohio allows licensure reciprocity for licensed funeral directors with qualifying experience from another state.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or assist with transfers.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and grasp while performing job duties.
• Ability to drive company vehicles as needed.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
