About The Position

The Project Manager will define and coordinate ongoing site maintenance plans, engineering coordination, and operational initiatives at a GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in North Carolina. The role works closely with Site Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Facilities, and technical vendors to support programme execution, operational readiness, and compliance with site requirements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in project management, site maintenance, engineering, or facilities operations.
• Strong background in maintenance program development.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional site teams, procurement stakeholders, and technical vendors.
• Good understanding of maintenance programmes, manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facility systems.
• Familiarity with GMP, maintenance planning, contractor management, and operational readiness.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SAP PM, Maximo, or similar CMMS tools.
• PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate site maintenance programmes, engineering support activities, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with site maintenance, operations, engineering, and procurement teams to align project priorities and execution plans.
• Manage technical vendors, OEMs, contractors, and external service providers to ensure timely delivery of agreed scope.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, resource planning, procurement activities, and technical dependencies.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance initiatives, equipment upgrades, and planned shutdown activities.
• Develop a spare parts strategy and implement the ERP program for it.
• Track project milestones, budgets, risks, vendor performance, and overall programme progress.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, site procedures, and applicable quality requirements.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, resolve execution challenges, and drive timely project completion.
