About The Position

This Project Manager position plays a pivotal role in aligning strategic initiatives and driving project execution across the Mental Health department. The majority of this role’s work will focus on supporting the implementation and spread of Measurement‑Based Care within CHEO’s Mental Health Program, in alignment with organizational quality improvement and clinical transformation priorities. This role will report to the Director, Community Based Mental Health Program. The successful candidate blends their skills in business analysis, project management and cross-functional leadership skills to drive successful delivery of initiatives that advance key organizational goals.

Requirements

  • University degree in a health or business-related field (Essential)
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience leading projects (Essential)
  • Demonstrated success in leading large cross-functional change projects (Essential)
  • Ability to deliver clear and impactful project updates and presentations (Essential)
  • Confident and comfortable organizing and leading consultations, workshops, and events to support project success and foster collaboration (Essential)
  • Self-Directed problem solver; highly motivated and independent (Essential)
  • Ability to own complex problems, work with minimal supervision, and thrive in dynamic environments (Essential)
  • Excellent teamwork and relationship building skills enabling collaboration with various roles across the organization and with external partners (Essential)
  • Exceptional organizational skills to ensure all project components are well -coordinated and deadlines are consistently met (Essential)
  • Ability to adjust project plans and strategies in response to changes or unforeseen challenges (Essential)
  • Data management, including advance use of Office 365 and SharePoint (Essential)

Responsibilities

  • Provide project leadership to support the implementation of Measurement‑Based Care within the Mental Health Program, including planning, stakeholder engagement, implementation coordination, and evaluation.
  • Engage cross-functional teams to define clear project scope and goals.
  • Develop detailed project plans that align workstreams, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure successful delivery of outcomes.
  • Ensure all initiatives are connected to the hospitals and portfolio’s short and long-term goals.
  • Direct and align technical expertise and teams to ensure smooth execution across departments and impacted groups.
  • Foster collaborative partnerships with internal teams, external partners, and leadership ensuring expectations are clearly communicated and consistently met.
  • Lead effective governance practices by assessing impacts of scope changes to timelines and budgets and ensuring project teams are aligned and informed.
  • Facilitate risk and issue management discussions, implement effective mitigation and resolution strategies to maintain project momentum and integrity.
  • Conduct regular assessments to ensure quality standards are met and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop effective communication strategies that support stakeholder engagement and adoption of project outcomes.
  • Position key project decisions with clarity and context to enable informed choices by leadership and collaborators.
  • Prepare and present reports, proposals, briefing notes and presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Develop frameworks and surveys to measure project impact and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
