About The Position

ETC is hiring Project Manager Interns for the summer of 2027. This is an on-site position in the Middleton, Wisconsin office. Applicants should submit a resume and transcripts under “additional files.” The intern assists with implementing custom project designs and supporting Project Managers throughout project planning, documentation, scheduling, and delivery. HR will begin reviewing applications at the end of September.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
1–2 years of post-high-school education in an area of specialization; Business or Theatre preferred.
GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Practical knowledge of theatrical lighting systems.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Strong motivation and attention to detail.
Microsoft Office and PC skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and set priorities across multiple projects.

Nice To Haves

Post-high-school education in Business or Theatre.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing the design of custom projects.
Acquire information from dealers, consultants, engineers, electricians, representatives, and end users in a timely and professional manner.
Assist in reviewing quotations, sales orders, and purchase orders.
Outline system requirements.
Review submittal drawings and check printing.
Participate in project progress tracking to help ensure scheduled ship dates are met.
Produce Visio or AutoCAD shop drawings.
Submit shop drawings to Systems Engineering for review.
Process sales order changes.
Produce release documentation for manufacturing.
Update project schedules.
Support technicians performing system energization.
Assist Project Managers as required.
Complete special projects and requests in a timely and positive manner.
Back up Project Managers when they are out of the office.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
