Working within the Office of the Commissioner of Probation (OCP), the Project Manager for Information Services performs administrative and organizational management duties to advise and assist the Commissioner of Probation in the development and deployment of technology products and services as well as evaluating methods, practices, and procedures in the probation offices of the Trial Court Department. The Project Manager will evaluate probation's technological needs and application, identifying needed improvements within individual probation offices and across the department as a whole, while also providing administrative and technical assistance and training to implement new technologies and improve the use of existing technology. This position will be the designated lead in the Office of the Commissioner of Probation for the ongoing design, development, and implementation of MassCourts and related applications, working in collaboration with the Trial Court Information Services Department. The Project Manager will also advise other Trial Court Departments and other agencies of OCP policies, procedures, standards, and priorities that are supported or enhanced by the MassCourts application. The Project Manager will also represent the Commissioner on a number of interdepartmental collaborations relative to the use of technology as well as with external entities.
