About The Position
Bush Construction is seeking a Project Engineer for its Davenport, Iowa team. Working alongside Project Managers and Superintendents, the Project Engineer helps keep commercial construction projects on track by supporting planning, documentation, and coordination from preconstruction through closeout. The role offers the opportunity to learn different aspects of running commercial construction projects, with experienced mentors available.
Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to read drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle records check.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with construction project management software.
Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Manage project documentation, including RFIs, ASIs, and change orders.
- Support preconstruction, site inspections, and project closeout.
