About The Position
Walsh is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to join its team in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, in the Milwaukee region. The anticipated start date is December 2026 or January 2027. Project Engineers are described as collaborative, relationship-focused problem solvers who use data to make decisions, plan and manage their work, and help teams improve. Walsh is a fourth-generation, family-owned business that offers a small-company feel with the backing of a large company and emphasizes technology, employee recognition, and being an employer and builder of choice. The role supports day-to-day construction project coordination, documentation, procurement, quality, subcontractor coordination, survey and layout, equipment management, safety, and estimating. Specific roles may require relocation.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous internship, co-op, or employment experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage document control, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and claims.
- Assist and support the project team with daily project coordination.
- Procure construction materials.
- Perform Quality Control and Quality Assurance checks.
- Coordinate subcontractors.
- Perform survey and project layout.
- Take weekly pictures for progress reports.
- Manage construction equipment.
- Manage safety.
- Perform project estimating.
