Project Engineer - Entry Level - Nashville, TN - 2026 - 2027
About The Position
The Walsh Group is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer I for its team in Nashville, Tennessee. The role supports a multi-billion-dollar campus project in downtown Nashville and is planned to be based in Nashville, rather than being project-specific. The Project Engineer assists with day-to-day project coordination, construction documentation, procurement, quality checks, trade partner coordination, progress reporting, equipment logs, safety, cost estimating, schedule analysis, and site inspections. Relocation of superior candidates currently outside the local market will be considered.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience; experience may include internships, co-ops, or prior employment.
- Computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, P6, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar tools.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage document control, including drawing revisions, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Assist and support the project team with daily coordination.
- Procure and expedite construction materials.
- Perform front-line Quality Control and Quality Assurance checks and monitoring.
- Coordinate and review mock-ups.
- Coordinate trade partners.
- Track production of trade partners and self-perform crews.
- Take project photographs and maintain other documentation for progress reporting.
- Manage construction equipment logs with the Superintendent(s).
- Participate in safety management and culture development.
- Perform cost estimating and schedule analysis for change orders.
- Conduct project site inspections and complete checklists.
