About The Position

We are looking for a motivated Electrical or Computer Engineering intern to join our team, focusing on the evaluation and validation of next-generation Distribution Management System (DMS) applications. In this role, you will play a key part in bridging the gap between innovative software development and real-world grid operations. You will evaluate new applications, ensure they meet industry deployment standards, identify technical defects, and help educate our user base.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Fundamental understanding of electric power distribution systems.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a passion for software quality.
Excellent technical writing and communication skills; ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
Proficiency in Linux (command-line navigation, shell scripting, and system troubleshooting).
Proficiency or strong interest in C#.
Familiarity with Jenkins for continuous integration and pipeline automation.
Experience with Nexus for managing software components and dependencies.
Exposure to or willingness to learn GitOps workflows and ArgoCD for Kubernetes-native deployment management.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on testing of new Distribution Management applications to assess their functionality, reliability, and integration capabilities within our existing power system environments.
Design and build comprehensive test cases to validate application performance, edge cases, and user requirements, ensuring all new features meet rigorous quality standards.
Analyze software requirements to determine if new applications can be deployed using standard industry tooling, specifically leveraging GitOps principles and ArgoCD for automated deployments within Linux-based environments.
Actively "stress test" new products by identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs. You will work closely with development teams to verify fixes and ensure a seamless end-user experience.
Translate complex software features into user-friendly training materials, including technical guides, how-to videos, and internal knowledge-base articles to assist grid operators and engineers.
