Internship-Project Engineer
About The Position
Amoroso Construction offers year-round internships for people beginning a career in construction management. Project Engineer Interns join a team working on large-scale commercial projects and gain hands-on experience in scheduling, project management, safety, and estimating. Internships typically last three to six months depending on the intern’s schedule and may lead to permanent employment. The internship provides opportunities to develop problem-solving skills by addressing issues on active projects, observe strategic planning and implementation alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, and build relationships with subcontractors, colleagues, and clients.
Requirements
- A passion for learning and construction, and the drive to succeed.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and creatively.
- Accountability and initiative on assigned projects.
- Some coursework in Construction Management or a related major.
Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience in scheduling, project management, safety, and estimating on commercial construction projects.
- Apply problem-solving skills to help resolve project issues and support project completion.
- Observe project planning and strategy implementation with Project Managers and Superintendents.
- Develop positive relationships with subcontractors, colleagues, and clients.
