About The Position

Syblon Reid offers paid estimating or field internships for enthusiastic, self-motivated students pursuing a college degree in construction management or a related field. The program provides mentoring and hands-on, real-world experience in the heavy civil construction industry, supporting students as they build a foundation for a construction career. Many Syblon Reid full-time employees began with an internship.

The intern supports the onsite Project Manager and field crews. Duties vary according to project needs. Work is performed at the project site and in the office. Syblon Reid has offices in Folsom and Fresno, California, and Boise, Idaho; applicants should indicate their location preference. Overnight travel is required.

Requirements

• Pursuing a college degree in construction management or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills.
• Detail-oriented focus.
• Available for overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the project safety program, processes, and safety culture.
• Write submittals and requests for information (RFIs).
• Support project scheduling.
• Track and report field production, cost estimates, and invoices.
• Maintain quality-control program documentation.
• Manage subcontractors.
• Perform quantity take-offs and pricing.
• Procure materials.
• Manage field employees.
