About The Position

Syblon Reid offers paid summer internships for enthusiastic, self-motivated students pursuing a college degree in construction management or a related field. The Project Engineer Intern supports the Onsite Project Manager and field crews. Duties vary according to project needs. Work is performed at the project site and in the office. Syblon Reid has offices in Folsom and Fresno, California, and Boise, Idaho; applicants should indicate their location preference. Overnight travel must be possible.

Requirements

• Pursuing a college degree in construction management or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills.
• A detail-oriented focus.
• Must be available for overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the project safety program, processes, and safety culture.
• Write submittals and requests for information (RFIs).
• Support project scheduling.
• Track and report field production, cost estimates, and invoices.
• Document the quality control (QC) program.
• Manage subcontractors.
• Perform quantity take-offs and pricing.
• Procure materials.
• Manage field employees.
