About The Position

Join our Project Development Team! You will focus on managing the development of solar PV and battery storage projects in Germany, covering all stages from land-secured status to ready-to-build (RTB), including permitting and communication with grid operators. Additionally, you will coordinate internal and external stakeholders, optimize project processes, and ensure efficient collaboration and documentation across teams. Initially you will be working on the projects in the area of Schleswig-Holstein, Kiel, Flensburg. The role involves leading the development of solar PV and battery storage projects in Germany, ensuring their progression from origination to ready-to-build while overseeing budgets, schedules, and project deliverables. You will also play a key role in enhancing collaboration among internal teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in urban planning, business administration, geography, management, project management, renewable energy, etc.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the development of renewable energy projects in Germany and track record in the development of large-scale renewable energy projects
  • Expertise in securing land and grid capacity, as well as land use planning and permitting
  • MS Office: PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • German: Fluent (spoken and written) – Required

Responsibilities

  • Managing the development of solar PV and battery storage projects in Germany
  • Taking overall responsibility for the development of German projects through to ready-to-build (RTB)
  • Managing permitting activities (solar, BESS, and grid connection) and securing grid capacity, including coordinating grid connection solutions
  • Taking overall responsibility for development budgets, schedules, and project deliverables
  • Coordinating collaboration between the local development team, German regional management, and other internal stakeholders
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with landowners, permitting authorities, grid operators, advisors, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Identifying relevant stakeholders and involving them in process creation and adaptation activities
  • Communicating and coordinating planned process improvements and adjustments with the Team Lead
  • Managing relationships with landowners, municipalities, permitting authorities, internal teams, external partners, and grid operators.
