The Project Design Specialist supports project setup activities under the guidance of senior team members. The role creates or amends requisitions, collection kit specifications, and database items based on client requirements and the Operational Specifications Document (OSD). It does not involve direct client interaction, but requires collaboration with internal teams to help ensure accurate and timely project implementation. The specialist interprets specifications provided by the Project Design Manager, develops or revises customized test requisitions and collection kit specifications, and serves as a subject matter expert on internal Project Initiation calls. The role provides setup progress updates to Project Management and Client Services leadership, translates requirements into actionable problem-solving steps, and coordinates with internal departments and colleagues to complete database and other setup tasks. Additional related duties may be assigned to support departmental and organizational goals. The position requires relevant education and Project Coordinator or similar experience, with alternate education-and-experience combinations accepted. Clinical research, central laboratory, or project management experience is preferred or may be considered when gained outside LabConnect. The role has no supervisory responsibilities, requires minimal travel, and includes regular computer and conference-call work. LabConnect describes its culture as one global team focused on advancing clinical trials through innovation, agility, and collaboration, with values of People First, Quality Focused, Customer Centered, Technology Driven, and Accountability Always.
