About The Position

Join WSP's Applied Solutions group as a Project Coordinator and play a key role in delivering complex projects across Eastern Canada. Whether it's environmental rehabilitation, water treatment, mine closure, civil infrastructure, or other multidisciplinary projects, you will collaborate with talented professionals to safely execute significant projects that have a positive impact on communities, the environment, and industry. Based in Montreal (Quebec), this position offers the possibility of working in the field or in the office, depending on project needs. Travel and rotation schedules will be required for certain assignments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Mining Engineering, Mining Technology, Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, or a related technical discipline.
3 to 5 years of progressive experience in construction, environmental rehabilitation, mining, infrastructure, or industrial projects carried out in the field.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams in active construction site environments.
Good knowledge of project coordination, construction methods, environmental rehabilitation practices, site remediation, and/or civil and infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Experience in remote or northern environments is a significant asset.
Excellent organizational, teamwork, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing site conditions.
Initiative, a desire to learn, and to develop new experiences.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, coupled with availability to travel and work on rotating schedules when required.
Bilingualism is necessary as the individual will be involved in projects for English-speaking clients and partners, often based outside Quebec.

Responsibilities

Develop statements of work, work breakdown structures (WBS), project schedules, and project budgets for review by senior managers.
Participate in the preparation of site-specific health and safety plans and work execution plans.
Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for various equipment, materials, and services.
Coordinate field work between subcontractors, material suppliers, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
Perform quantity surveys, estimates, and forecasts, monitor equipment usage, and record data.
Monitor, document, and report on construction and field activities while maintaining accurate project files and site documentation.
Collaborate closely with project managers, technical specialists, consultants, clients, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
Communicate project progress, field observations, risks, and emerging trends to project management teams.
Contribute to the success of projects promoting environmental stewardship, sustainable development, and long-term value creation for communities.
Issue requests for information (RFIs), change requests, subcontract agreements, work orders, purchase orders, daily reports, technical notes, and other documents for review by senior managers.
Proactively resolve challenges encountered on construction sites while maintaining productivity, quality, and adherence to deadlines.
Work will be shared between the field and the office.
