About The Position
The Project Coordinator will support planning, design, and construction oversight for Park in a Truck parks. The role combines artistic vision, environmental sensitivity, and technical expertise to help create functional, sustainable, and attractive public spaces. The posting also describes responsibilities associated with park design, including site analysis, cost estimates and construction documents, and community engagement. The position is temporary, based at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and scheduled for 20 hours per week.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a similar field.
- Two years of park design experience.
- Knowledge and skills in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite.
Responsibilities
- Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with Jefferson’s values.
- Conduct site analysis to assess environmental factors, land use, and community needs.
- Oversee preparation of cost estimates, construction documents, and bid proposals.
- Engage with communities to gather input and ensure park designs reflect local needs and culture.
- Plan, design, and oversee construction of Park in a Truck parks.
