About The Position

The Project Coordinator provides comprehensive project management support to Project Managers, leaders, and cross‑functional team members within the Information Services – Project Management Office. This role supports medium to large, complex strategic initiatives, including clinical technology implementations within construction and expansion projects, clinical application integrations, and projects aligned with the Academic Health Center. Responsibilities include assisting with project planning and execution, maintaining detailed project documentation, tracking tasks, timelines, budgets, purchase orders, and invoices, and supporting the development of project reporting and status updates. The Project Coordinator also plays a key role in scheduling and facilitating clinical design sessions across multiple sites and departments, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of key milestones. This role offers significant exposure to enterprise-wide projects and provides a development pathway toward future Project Management opportunities. This position is based within the Information Services – Project Management Office, with a primary location at the Revenue Cycle Services location on Shadeland. The role operates in a hybrid environment, with on-site presence as needed based on project requirements. Occasional travel within the state may be required to support new hospital openings, expansions, or command center activities during go-live phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent years of experience required.
  • Experience exhibiting professional judgment and diplomacy in handling unexpected problems and frequent interruptions is required.
  • Requires basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical background or experience working closely with clinical teams (e.g., nursing, laboratory, medical technology, or clinical operations) strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting project management activities, including documentation, scheduling, meeting facilitation, and status reporting preferred.
  • Exposure to budget tracking, timelines, or financial monitoring is a plus.
  • Experience with matrix organization and complex work environment a plus.
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Teams, Project Online, Smartsheet, or Epic is a plus.
