About The Position

The Office of the Provost at Texas A&M University is seeking an organized and flexible team player for the Project Coordinator II role. This position will coordinate project activities, including initiation, document sharing, work plan development, estimating, and project controls. The coordinator will also liaise with vendors, manage multiple work streams, conduct research, write reports, prepare presentations, assist with prospective executive visits, and provide support for division events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Four years of related experience in project coordination/administration.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Public Administration, Higher Education Administration, Planning, Facilities Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in higher education administration, facilities planning, project management, institutional research, or operations management.
  • Experience with space inventory systems, scheduling systems, GIS, facilities databases, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience interacting with and supporting committees, governance groups, or executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates project activities including project initiation, document sharing, work plan development, estimating, and project controls.
  • Coordinates with vendors and others in the delivery and support for systems and services.
  • Coordinates multiple work streams to ensure cross-project dependencies and impacts are identified and managed.
  • Research, benchmark and tracks databases for assigned projects.
  • Writes reports and other related materials.
  • Prepares presentations and meeting agendas.
  • Host prospective executives including visit communication, travel and follow up.
  • Arranges stakeholder interactions across campus.
  • Assist leading up to and at events involving the division including but not limited to commencement, groundbreakings, building openings, etc.
